Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum Support

Hello and Congratulations on Your Pregnancy

The journey from conception through to Pregnancy and parenting can be a joyful time, but it can also feel overwhelming and sometimes lonely — especially with so much well-meaning yet conflicting advice from friends, family, and professionals or no advice at all.

My role as a holistic doula is to hold space for you, offering calm, compassionate, unbiased support as you look at your choices, make decisions about your journey and what feels right for you. I offer all kinds of support, whatever it is you need at the time which we look at together.

I believe that birth and becoming a parent is a profound, transformative experience that touches every part of who we are—body, mind, and spirit. As your holistic birth support, I am here to walk alongside you with respect, care, and trust in your innate wisdom. I aim to provide a steady nurturing presence, compassionate encouragement while looking at information together, so you can feel confident, safe and empowered in your choices—however your birth journey unfolds.

Whether you envision a home birth, a hospital birth, or something in between or you need support before or after birth, I am committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space for you and your family. I believe you deserve to feel seen, heard, and supported.

My hope is that, amidst the noise from the outside world, you feel informed, centred, and in tune with your own instincts — stepping into this journey knowing you are the expert of your body and baby.

I can support you

wherever you are.

I provide in-person pregnancy, birth and postpartum support for people who live within 45 minutes drive from Exeter, United Kingdom. I also provide remote support, via videoconferencing, WhatsApp and calls, for people anywhere. Please see below for a detailed description of the types of support available, and please do book a free discovery call if you’d like to discuss what kind of support feels right for you.

If you are not completely sure about the support you are looking for or have an idea but it is not listed, I can be flexible in the way I work and am always open and happy to chat how I may best support you.

Holding Hands

Journey package

£4000 total

This package would suit you if you wish to travel this journey with a champion and advocate by your side, for me to deeply connect with you and be with you every step of the way.

I have trained in the Continuum Doula model, which places emphasis on continuity of care and support. We will see each other for six sessions antenatally, which can involve me coming to appointments with you - if you’d like that. I’ll be there to support you for the birth, by which point we’ll have developed a beautiful relationship and a deep understanding around birth preferences. Then, I’ll see you for six sessions postnatally, to support you to settle into life as a mother and reflect on the unparalleled rite of passage that is birth and becoming a mother.

My wish is that you feel comfortable and confident in your pregnancy, birth and beyond - with strong awareness of what you want and how you’d like the people around you to support that. I’d like to create space for you, so that you feel held but ultimately confident in your own capabilities. You already have everything you need within you and I’ll be there to help you believe that that’s true.

What does the £4000 fee include?

- Six antenatal sessions, during which I’ll get to know you, from what matters to you most to how you like your tea and develop an understanding of your birth preferences and values. We’ll work on a birth preferences document together, for the rest of your birthing team - whomever may or may not be involved.

- I’ll go on-call 24/7 for your birth from 38 weeks until your baby is born, to be there to support you in the birth and only departing once you’re feeling settled and your baby has had their first feed (whatever that looks like for you).

- Six postnatal sessions, to support you in your new role/s as parent/s. We can reflect on the birth in a way that feels helpful for you and I can support in any way you wish (for example, I could do a load of laundry, hold the baby whilst you shower, signpost you to further support if wanted or needed).

- Contact outside of our time together, to help answer any questions you may have or process new situations or information. This starts as soon as you book me and finishes two weeks after our final postnatal visit.

- Any research needed from me, to support you in the specifics of your journey.

- Travel costs to enable me to be there for you during our sessions and the birth.

I’m here to support wholeheartedly and without judgement, whatever you choose and whatever unfolds - home birth, hospital birth, planned caesarean, anything that feels right to you.

Before you book any of the packages, we’ll have a free discovery call or meeting - so that we can get to know each other and answer any questions. There is absolutely no obligation for you to book after the free discovery call or meeting, it is entirely your choice.

My Story

My own birthing experiences have been varied, messy, touching and spiritual. I’ve given birth to four beautiful children, each one teaching me something different about trust, strength, and the importance of feeling supported.

Over the years I have experienced motherhood in different life situations and have had the opportunity to walk many paths. My parenting experiences have been extremely challenging as well as overwhelmingly joyful. I have learnt with deep insight that our children project our own inner world and they come with their teachings as we do ours. I believe we are all doing our best with what we know and have.

I am always unlearning unhealthy patterns as I help others do the same.

If I do not know something I am asked, I keenly get to work on researching and learning. I believe this to be one of my strong points. I love learning and I am fascinated by the mind.

I love empowering others in this work and I genuinely enjoy listening. I am a keen cook and have years of personal nutritional experience. I am good at organising, cleaning and interior design and have picked up many DIY skills over the years.

Whether you wish to birth at home, in hospital or a planned Caesarian birth, I would love to support you. No matter where birth takes place or the choices you want, I have found the support you get is really what makes all the difference.

Each birth no matter what teachings they bring, is one of a woman's and birthing persons most precious and vulnerable times.

If you would like to work with me, book a free discovery call now. There is no obligation and I will never take offence if we are not right for each other.

I can offer support before, during or after birth, for as little or as long as you need.

If having a doula is just a thought at this point and you would like to explore it further before making a decision then we can have a chat on the phone where I can answer any questions you may have.

With love on your birth journey

Jessica x
